When restoring a vehicle like the Ford GT, finesse and attention to detail are of the utmost importance, but with this particular car it seems like that’s a lot easier said than done. From trying to get the smashed up front end to realign to lifting the engine out without available lift points, this tends to be one tricky project.
If there’s anyone who we would want on the job, though, it would be Gas Monkey Garage’s Aaron Kaufmann. This time, we catch up with Aaron as he makes some progress on the Ford GT.
Check out the video below as the engine and transmission have to be hoisted out of this thing using nothing more than a tow strap. It might seem like, in a situation like this, things could get a little bit sketchy. However, the pros have this one on lock down.
